The Wild announced Tuesday that they will cover the remaining four years on the Paris and Suter contracts.
“Zach and Ryan have been an integral part of Wild’s success over the past nine years and we will always be grateful for their numerous contributions,” said general manager Bill Guerin in a statement. “There have been numerous factors that have come into play in the difficult decision to buy their contracts, but above all these moves are a continuation of the transformation of our list aimed at the eventual goal of winning a Stanley Cup.”
Team owner Craig Leipold added:
“I want to thank Zach and Ryan for all they have done for our organization over the last nine seasons, both on and off the ice. They have been tremendous ambassadors for our team and have helped us win many games. I don’t want anything but the best to go on. “
