Tuukka Rask to start making or killing Game 6 against the Islanders

Tuukka Rask he is ready to go.

U Boston Bruins netminder will return between the tubes for Game 6 of Wednesday against the New York Islanders, confirmed coach Bruce Cassidy.

Rask’s availability has been called into question after coming out of a game loss on Monday 5 before the third period with an unspecified injury. Rookie keeper Jeremy Swayman filled it, stopping two of three shots.

Rask has not been 100% complete for most of the 2020-21 season. He passed away about a month earlier this season due to a suspected back injury. When he returned for a game against the Islanders in March, he suffered an upper body injury and missed even more time.

The 34-year-old also admitted last month that her health is not as good as he wants her to be, and Cassidy said before the playoffs that his guard is not at 100%.

Game 6 of Wednesday is a fact or die for Boston. If the Bruins win, Game 7 will be Friday night at TD Garden. If they lose, the Islanders will move on to the next round.

Rask is in the final year of his eight-year, $ 56 million deal with the Bruins. He has not yet begun contractual negotiations with Boston management, but both sides plan to resolve something during the offseason.

The native of Finland said wants to stay in Boston and has no intention of playing anywhere else.
