The Reds activate first baseman Joey Votto from IL

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is back.

The Reds have confirmed that the Six Star All-Star and once again the Most Valuable Player will return from the fractured thumb suffered May 5 against the Chicago White Sox and batting police for Tuesday’s home game against the Milwaukee Brewers:

According to one ESPN recently, Votto recently completed a rehabilitation mission in Triple-A Louisville and managed the shots initially without dealing with an abundance of discomfort. In a corresponding roster move, Cincinnati placed right-hand pitcher Michael Feliz on the injury list 10 days back on Monday due to a bad right neck.

Through 29 games this season, Votto has hit .226 with five home runs and 17 RBI. Meanwhile, the Reds have won six of their last seven contests to improve to 28-29 last year and reach four games of first-place Milwaukee rankings in the Central National League standings.
