Khris Davis ’stint with the Texas Rangers reconstruction seems to have already ended.
In order ESPN and u MLB website, Texas designated the foreigner and designated the batter for the assignment Tuesday. In a corresponding roster move, the Rangers recalled influencer / outfielder Eli White from Triple-A Round Rock.
Davis, 33, he led all of MLB with 48 home runs for the 2018 season but has seen his offensive output drop since then. Oakland Athletics traded him to Texas in February, and he was hitting an insignificant .157 record with two home runs and five RBIs in 22 games before that last development. He passed away more than a month earlier this spring with a torn left quad.
The Rangers now have seven days to exchange or release Davis. He could also accept a relegation for the minor leagues.
Texas started Tuesday night at 23-38 overall and in last place in the American West League, so it’s understandable that the Rangers had little patience with an underperforming veteran apparently past his prime.
