Seattle Kraken draft 30; no prey superstar

Seattle Kraken’s expansion picks were submitted to the league this morning, and after the conclusion of tonight’s Expansion Draft, everything became official. It was a rather anticlimactic evening, as all the choices had been accurately filtered throughout the day. It’s important to note that considering some intricate selections and a large amount of cap space, more moves from the Kraken should happen later this week.

The Kraken ends up with $ 29M in hood space, via CapFriendly. Notable RFAs include Twarynski, Dunn, Borgen and Cholowski. They may be looking for players like Geekie to make the full-time jump to the NHL next season, but for now, the list seems relatively complete. At this point, it is to be expected that some defenders will be dealt with off the list, as they currently find themselves with 10 at the NHL level without any of them being eligible for resignation.
