Ridley out of the Falcons ’mini-camp after a minor foot surgery

Calvin Ridley is now the Atlanta Falcons‘No. 1 wide receptor after Julio Jones was traded to the Tennessee Titans. However, he is not on the field for minicamp.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Schultz, Ridley has undergone minor foot surgery after a persistent problem since 2020. It is possible he will miss the start of the training camp.

With Jones injured for most of the 2020 season, Ridley has developed as Atlanta’s first target. The 26-year-old took 90 passes for a career-high 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Falcons hope Ridley and rookie Kyle Pitts will be able to fill the void left by Jones.
