According to u MLB site, Olson will try to become the third player in the franchise’s history to win the Derby. Mark McGwire realized the fact in 1992, and Yoenis Cespedes went back in 2013 and 2014.
In order ESPN statistically, Olson is currently tied for ninth in the league with 20 homers, and is 12th overall with a .552 slugging percentage. He will be compete against Colorado shortstop trevor Story, Baltimore Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini, Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez, Los Angeles Angels two-time Shohei Ohtani, and New York Mets defensive champion Pete Alonso in Monday’s Derby.
Two other players will join the field at some point before Monday’s festivities:
