Denver Broncos quarterback Kareem Jackson is no stranger to Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. The two were teammates during Watson’s first pair of NFL seasons until Jackson signed with the Broncos in March 2019.
Watson has skip The activities of the Houston organized team amid reports that he wants to be exchanged, and Jackson explained on the latest edition of the podcast “Catchin’ Fades with Aqib Talib ”that his former teammate would like joins Denver.
“I have a great relationship with Deshaun,” Jackson told me Mike Florio by Pro Football Talk. “I’ve been talking to him for the last two weeks, man. And like everything he’s told me is like, look, Jack, just say, like this is where I want to be … I want to be in Denver. ”
Watson is still facing 22 civil lawsuits over allegations of sexual assault and misconduct, and his status for the upcoming season is still up in the air whether he stays with the Texans or is traded. He may be rendered ineligible for part or for the whole campaign, either with the list exempted by the commissioner or by a suspension even if the cases are definitively abandoned or resolved out of court.
For now, the Broncos have veterans Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock competitors for his initial quarterback work.
