Former Broncos OL Ja’Wuan James has a complaint

Offensive liner Ja’Wuan James filed a complaint against the Broncos (via PFT). The offensive lineman seeks to recover $ 10M from his 2021 salary, plus $ 5M in his 2022 salary.

James ’2021 salary was guaranteed for disability and injury while $ 5M of his ’22 salary was guaranteed for injury. The Broncos say they owe nothing to James because his training injury happened outside the team’s facility. James, meanwhile, claims he worked in a fashion that was “specifically authorized” by the club. In addition, he worked with other Broncos teammates. And, on top of all that, James argues that the Broncos ’installation was not in compliance with Colorado’s COVID-19 safety guidelines.

In the presentation, James’ attorneys noted a May 5 NFL note that said training injuries outside of the facility “specifically or as specifically authorized by his club are considered” related injuries to football. ”injury list to football two days later. And, on May 14, the Broncos cut James.

In response, the Broncos would probably argue that their ease training was strictly voluntary. And, as a result, they are not responsible.
