Embiid scored 40 as Sixers rebounded in Game 2 victory, 116-102

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has learned that finished second in the NBA MVP vote immediately in front of his team Assorted Game 2 against the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semifinals Tuesday night.

Embiid was hesitant to go into the game due to a torn meniscus that is in his left knee. Obviously, the All-Star wasn’t going to miss the game Tuesday night after Philadelphia left Game 1 despite him scoring 39 points.

In what was an indispensable victory game for Embiid and his Sixers at home Tuesday night, one of the best centers of the modern era has more than intensified. Philadelphia took a two-point lead at the end of the 118-102 victory, largely because of Embiid’s global performance.

The NBA runner-up MVP scored 40 career-highs in the playoffs 13 points on the 13-point shot of 25 while grabbing 13 rebounds in a virtuous overall performance on the way to helping Philly even the series in a direction to Atlanta for the game 3.

It was a much needed performance for Embiid with “star” teammate Ben Simmons scoring just four points on the 2-of-3 shooting in yet another nasty offensive outburst for the forward point. Those who watched the game at home had their reactions.
