DeVonta Smith will miss two to three weeks with MCL distortion


Philadelphia Eagles According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, DeVonta Smith will receive a wide receiver start that will last two to three weeks with a distorted MCL.

Smith suffered his injury during practice on Saturday when he crashed to the ground to try to take two low passes from quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Philadelphia picked out the reigning winner of the Heisman Trophy outside of Alabama with the tenth overall pick in the April draft. The 22-year-old is expected to be the Eagles ’first target in 2021.

In his senior season with the Crimson Tide, Smith took 117 passes for 1,856 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also had four carries for six yards and one touchdown.

The Louisiana native is joined by Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward at the receiver.
